Established in 1937, the College of Law of the University of San Carlos School of Law and Governance marks its Diamond Anniversary this Academic Year 2012-2013. As part of a Catholic institution of higher learning that embodies the principles of academic discipline of San Carlos Borromeo and the missionary charism of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD), the College of Law aims to develop competent and socially responsible lawyers and lifelong learners in an environment that fosters excellence in the academic core processes of teaching-learning, research, and community extension service. Its mission is to provide timely, relevant, and transformative academic law programs responsive to the needs of the local, national, and global communities in a rapidly changing world.
As it celebrates its 75th year as a College, USC College of Law remains to be among the top law schools in the Philippines and the only one with staff and student exchange programs with Stockholm University, Sweden, American Graduate School in Paris, France, and Diponegoro University in Semarang, Indonesia. It has Supreme Court- accredited Clinical Legal Education Program, and is an accredited MCLE provider.
